As with all Night Owl optical equipment, the NexGen monocular includes a Russian-designed light-amplification module inside the two-piece body. The module's Generation 1 technology amplifies the ambient light by up to 500x and hurls it against a phosphorescent screen, yielding green but crystal-clear images in near darkness. The monocular also includes a powerful infrared illuminator for use on moonless nights. The illuminator captures the thermal radiation that's invisible to human and animal eyesight, so you can see others without being seen yourself. Add in Night Owl's exclusive steel stringer system for added precision and you have a terrific monocular for just about any nighttime application.
